Snake Room

Aaron_Luxenberg Jul 12, 2003 08:33 PM

I am going to be getting a small snakeroom built in my new bedrom being built in the garage. The room will be about 9 X 7 and i will be keeping all my snakes in rubbermaid tubs. What is the best way to heat the entire room i will be keeping mainly ball pythons in there. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Aaron,
I would use and electric oil filled heater. You can get them at Wal Mart for around 30 dollars. They have built in thermostats. i would use a back up thermostat as well.

You could put a halogen lighting system in, that could heat the room pretty safely. At night, though, perhaps some electric space heaters? I personally wouldn't want anything burning in there.
