What are some ok tankmates for an RES? I was thinking possibly zebra danios or goldfish. Are there any good algae eaters that don't get too large? thanks

Goldfish are not reccomended, as they are harder to digest than some other fishes. I dont believe I know any problems with RES consuming Danios, they should be fine. Any algae eater that doesnt get too big would be a great snack for your RES.

Keep in mind that any fish you put in with your RES is most likely going to end up being lunch eventually. Wild type guppies would be a good choice.
