Question About Life Expectancy Of Helix Thermostats???

latin1956 May 27, 2005 12:11 AM

I found some used 500 watts Proportional Thermostats. The guy has had them for 4 years, but some of them have only been used for about 6 months. How long should they last.

Thanks
Tom

As long as they were not overloaded, you should be good for years to come. I have one of Helix's very early release models. Has to be about 6 years old or more I would guess. Still running well.

Thanks, Thats the same thing that Helix told me. He said they should last about 15-20 years and that they repair them if needed.

Thanks
Tom
