Will a BP that is given prekilled rodents gain weight faster than one that has to kill its own food

XtremeXteriors May 27, 2005 03:46 AM

i could maybe see the possibility in this statement ,seeing as how the BP doesnt have to use that extra energy to constrict in turn saving those calories for future purpose
someone mentioned that so i figured id ask the forum

I think most BP's eat better on live than pre-killed - meaning they have a better feeding response, eat more often, etc. Eating more often means growing faster.

All of my balls eat prekilled, just because i dont want to deal with injury. They all still constrict, expending the same amount of energy as if it were still live. Further more, how much weight do you really think you are going to keep on your ball if you make him work for 4 min every 5-10 days?
