Gecko Theater

Hi Everyone ... I'm new here and very new to geckos. I live in Houston and have converted an area of my carport into a "Tiki Lounge" complete with glowing lava bowl. Our neighbors sit outside in our Tiki lounge each night and part of the entertainment is "Gecko Theater" and here's why.

It began last summer when we noticed a Mediterranean Gecko living in a crack near the ceiling of our "Lounge". Neighbor Jeff (actor on MaryLou's Flip Flop Shop) started talking like Jacque Cousteau (sp?) and "speaking" for the gecko. We named the little guy, Pierre. Days later we noticed another gecko with Pierre so.... yep, named her.... Pinkie. Pierre and Pinkie.... well..... sometime later, out from the wall comes little....P'nut. I can't tell you how funny these little guys are, especially aided by the voice of Jacque Cousteau with a sort of french film noir type of theater.

Now here's the baffling thing we saw one night.... Pinkie had little P'nut out on the wall and she was perpendicular to little P'nut and VERY focused on him. Little P'nut got antsy and started to wiggle so Pinkie "BONKED" him in the side (as if saying, BE STILL). Baby P'nut got still again but several seconds later, just couldn't take it anymore...... and wiggled again. Well, in one lightning flash nano second, Pinkie grabbed P'nut in the ribs and drug him into the crack.

You guys know your stuff around here so I ask, were we watching Moth Catching 101 ??? Whatever it was..... we've been collectively hooked on the little guys ever since. We spotted our first one this year a couple of days ago.

Thanks for any info,
Solitear

Oh yea..... when we play Martin Denny tiki music (Quiet Village) or Santanna......... the chirping is unbelievable !!!!
