We built a new fence for the sulcata, it's made of cinder block so that she can't see out. Our box turtle pen was made up of 2 sides being the old chainlink fence & the front was built with lighter ranch wire fencing. Two sides of the pen were taken away because the old chainlink fence was torn down in order to build the new fence. The ranch wire was still standing. Sulcatas don't seem to grasp the idea of backing up & going the other way LOL.
She walked into the box pen from the back where there was no fence & ran into the front of it. When she got to the ranch wire she didn't back up & go the other way, nOOOOooooOOOo she walked through the wire fence & so now it's totally destroyed. I have nothing left of my box turtle pen at the moment. ROFL
At least the wire is still buried 12 inches underground so I guess we'll leave that in the ground when we rebuild the pen with bricks..
