I have raised cresteds from all ages except from right out of the egg. One of my eggs hatched today. I placed the baby in a small world, put some moist soil down, and am eagerly awaiting its first shed. Any tips would be great, thanks!

I wouldn't use particulate substrate on such a young gecko. Impaction from accidental ingestion isn't that uncommon. Also they actually shed within their first few hours out of the egg. So very often we miss the first one.
Just make sure humidity is up and offer food 3-4 times a week (though you'd be lucky to tell that they ever eat).
Good luck!

I put my babies in groups of two's (clutchmates) in small kritter keepers until they are around 13-15 grams. As a substrate I use papertowel and I clean the cage every other day.(unless it gets real messy overnight.) My babies eat CGD the most, mine don't eat crickets that much until a week-one month old!! I also feed them peach babyfood as a treat but not a lot.
Hope this Helped,
Derek
