Irwin's new home

MissMiniZoo May 27, 2005 11:58 AM

My husband built this enclosure for Irwin. It's 7' x 5' x 4 '. This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago and we have since gotten a new fixture for UVB/UVA that holds 2 48" bulbs which are placed over his basking area. We have also gotten a temp/humidity gauge and a humidifier. I also put a blanket on his basking shelf He's still acting like a big jerk for the most part, although he isn't quite as bad as he was in the past. All his scabs from ramming into his old cage have fallen off, thank goodness. I'm not sure what his deal is, but hopefully if it is breeding season related, he will start to calm down more very soon!

That's a very nice looking iguana! I like the cage, I want to do something with a type of walk all around the cage, like your husband did. Awesome!
