Can I keep a baby on sand with out it getting impacted? What percentage of their diet should be vegetables? I am going to have an in door and an outdoor cage to help with uv needs. Thanks for any help.

Until they are 3-4 months old I like to keep mine on paper towels. No calci sand, just plain washed play sand after that. I like mine to eat as much vegetables as they want. I feed my little ones veggies in the morning, then some crickets and then all the crickets they can get at night. The veggies help with their water needs.
