tank size

is a 2.5 gallon big enough for a small fire bellied newt?also do they like the HBH newt and salamander bites? my dwarf frogs like the frog and tadpole bites so im gessing the fire belly will.

No and no. With that small of a tank, it's almost impossible to maintain water quality. Upgrade to at least a 5gal, preferably a 10. Salamander bites are practically worthless as far as foods go. Most sals don't eat anything that's not alive and wiggling. Try chopped earthworms, small crickets, or frozen bloodworms fed from tweezers.
