At least 18 months and maybe 24 if you have a small female. My daughter has a 4 year old female who appears happy and healthy in a 75 gallon.

thanks!

we have a baby at my petstore, and i feel bad for her, since she was supposed to be bought, so we ordered mountain horned dragons. However, no one came and got her, so she is stuck with them.

The problem that seems to happen when CWD are in a glass enclosure is that they don't see the glass as a barrier. They will continue to bump up against it. The only glass in my CWD's enclosure is on the front; the other sides are wood and peg board.

I cover the back, sides, and the bottom of the front with cardboard to limit the nose rubbing.

On my old glass cage I put blue Styrofoam on the outside of 3 sides. It's an attractive color and excellant insulation. When the WD was young we put hardware cloth with 1/2" mesh across the front. She finally learned and we removed it.

I have been taping paper towel to the sides of the tank. It works but it looks bad.
