Need opinion: Is this a good deal?

wing May 27, 2005 08:01 PM

I bought a 2001 adult male albino kingsnake that is 3 ft long for $125.00 shipped. The coloration is really good. White, red yes, and almost perfect stripe on top of its body. But I don't really know if it's a good deal or just mediocre...

Please... need... opinion...

the real thing that matters is YOUR opinion. are you happy with it? then it's a good deal.

if it's as you described, it sounds like a hybrid. could you be more specific and tell us what kind of kingsnake it's supposed to be, or even provide a pic?

thanks, and enjoy it! other people's opinions shouldn't matter much.

You said "red yes". Did you mean "red eyes"? Cause if it has red pigment then it would be a hybrid if it just has red eyes then it probably isn't.
Shipping could have cost $50 or more so $125 shipped is not bad. You could find one cheaper at a show or pay more at a pet store.

I meant red eyes. What do you mean when you typed, "it probably isn't"? It's just a regular striped albino california kingsnake.

It was taken a year ago from now according to the breeder.

That looks like a pure california king to me.

I meant a cal king with red pigment would be a hybrid and a cal king with just red eyes probably is not a hybrid. Without seeing a pic I couldn't say one way or the other but your snake does not look at all like a hybrid. It's pure california I would say.

I didn't say it's a hybrid. After seeing the pic, would you say it's a good or bad deal?
