Moving. Could use some ideas........

Stryder May 27, 2005 08:23 PM

I bought a new house, it's just on the other side of town.

I need to move my entire snake collection, including eggs. Normally, when I get a critter, I like to have an enclosure set up and constant (as far as temps and whatnot) for a couple days before placing the animal in it. However, I do not have enough cages to do that. I think they'll be OK, as the weather here is warm now.

I am concerned about moving my eggs. They are in plastic containers in a small incubator. What would be the best way to move them? Moving day is just a few days before hatchling due date.

Worry, worry, worry..............so much to worry about. We are very excited, though, for our new home!! YAY!!

Thanks for any thoughts.

The incubator should already be insulated, so a 1 hour trip across town should see minimal temp. changes. I would let someone drive, and carry the incubator on my lap if size allows this.

Yeah, it's the movement/disturbance I was worried about, more so than the temps......

Sorry for cutting my description short, It's busy at work during the summer and I kinda try to squeeze in some advice here and there The bump'n and bounc'n along with the trip are my biggest worries too, and that's why I feel safest when they are in my lap and I can somewhat personally absorb any movement.
