Upon closer inspection...this animal could actually be a natural intergrade between the Ball Python and a hairless cat. Are the hairless cats indigenous to Ghana, Togo, or Benin?
Of course, this is just speculation.

Correct you are!!!! In an earlier post I mentioned that I shaved my cat after seeing the Derma Ball and low and behold my cat now looks almost exactly like the Derma Ball. I had to remove the ears and legs as well but WOW it looks just like it. Sorry, he is not for sale at this point and this is obviously this event is not genetic..

I think that is one really cool animal you got there. Alot of people hate the scaleless snakes but I think that is one way cool animal. I have seen scaleless Ratsnakes & Rattlesnakes & it is indeed a simple recessive genetic trait. Good luck......
