How Many Roaches?

Niobex May 27, 2005 08:47 PM

About how many roaches/crix/etc will a full grown panther cham normally eat in a day? I have a blue cham, sometimes he eats like a pig and other days just doesn't seem too interested. I feed lobster roaches with occasional flies and cabbage butterflies.

Hi, it depends on the cham. My male Tamatave will eat 4-6 variety of insects in a day and he still looks hungry. My male Nosey Be is a little bit more picky and will go a couple days without eating. If you feed everyday and the same insects they will get bored. If you think he's bored, change to a different insect or wait a day before feeding. Females tend to eat less on average if they're not gravid.

>That does sound right. I feel much better now especially after you said your Nosey Be would go a couple of days without eating. I offered Oberon some moths and he went after them like the panther he is.

Thank you, Zenexotics!
