My leopard gecko's huge new enclosure pics

peregrinefalcon Jul 12, 2003 09:28 PM

I recently moved my giant plated lizard to a larger cage so I had this 5'x2.5'x1' enclosure empty! My leo Ying had been in a 33 gallon for about a year and had been trying to climb up the sides alot, so I figured she would love more room. Well, I was right! She has barly stopped moving since I put her in this one and I'm sure she has explored the whole cage a few times. For those of you who think leos are boring, nocturnal geckos that always hide, put em in a nice sized cage and you'll never think that again! She might be getting a friend to share all that room with soon Well, here's the pics, tell me what you think!

The full cage

The inside

And a pic of the cutie

Hope you like the pics!

That is a very big cage for such a little lizard. I am sure she loves it. I was wondering how you are heating it though??

I stuck a UTH to a piece of plexi-glass and put it under some flat rocks. It is directly under the light.

I like the cage alot... how much did it cost? And are you going to put a substrate in the cage or not?

peregrinefalcon Jul 14, 2003 03:52 PM

Thanks I can't remember how much it cost because I built it a while ago. I am not going to put any substrate in because she'll just do her buisness in one corner.
