Bumblebees!

CrestedGecko.com May 28, 2005 08:42 AM

That wait is finally over. My spider x pastel clutch hatched yesterday. Out of 6 eggs, we got 0.2 bumblebees, 2.1 spiders and 1.0 normal. Not bad odds! I'll take new pics of the bumblebees after they've shed. I still say those are my favorite balls. I saw my first bumblebees at NERD's table at the 2001 NARBC in Chicago. Kevin's table was right across the aisle from me and I had to stare at those things all weekend long. I have to say thank to Kevin for the awesome spider male he sold me a couple years ago. I also thank Ross Payan from Leos Anonymous for the excellent pastel female he sold me. I'm just so happy I can sit and stare at these babies and know I actually have them in my collection now. Things like this really make this hobby/business worthwhile!

It is hard to beat a BUMBLE!!!!

I was freaked out when I hatched the first ones. My first two clutches were complete whiffs, not a single spider or bumble. I hatched only pastels and normals and you do this? MR. LUCKY ODDS!!!!

Glad you are so happy! That is a great clutch for sure! Thanks- Kev

Wait til they shed and the yellow starts to color up!
