I found this little male on Jan. 1st after the snow all melted in Jim Wells Co., TX. I believed it to be a female at first, but after probing it is a definite male.

2003 male I got from Don Shores.
Thanks for looking.

Got this male as a vanishing pattern "het". I know there is no such thing but as he sheds the vanishing pattern seems to become more apparent....
Thanks for looking.

This is a huge 2003 female that is het for hypo. I like the black tipping in the tangerine bands.....
Thanks for looking.

With the pink coloration and the lighter grayish head this snake appears to be homozygous for both hypoerythristic and hypomelanistic?-?-? Post a different pic please.
Thanks,
Ian Daviss
I will work on another photo, but I can tell you that he is only single homozygous anerytheristic (hypoerythristic) and not showing the hypomelanistic trait. I think there is just a glare on the head of the Hondo in the pic. The black is black.....
If it were showing both traits wouldn't that be a Ghost?
Thanks,
John Lassiter

Thats a pretty snake. When you catch a wild snake like that does it take mice or do you have to feed it lizards?
I ask because read they eat lizards in wild.
Thanks
This one took frozen thawed fuzzy mice the second day in her cage.
Some do require coaxing. I have had tons of practice getting Thayeri and Alterna to eat mice.
Thanks for the compliment,
John Lassiter
