Hey everyone,
I know that mealworms need to have bedding while being stored. What makes a good bedding? I'm wondering if oatmeal would work? When I get my mealies, their bedding looks like bran. Thanks for any help.

I keep all my mealworms out of the fridge and keep them on a gut-load for their bedding. You may go to my website if you'd like and see what I use for my gut-loads. I have 3 of them that I use. The first gut-load that I use is quite lenghty, but some people take some of the ingredients and make it into their own.
For a water source I recommend either baby cut carrots or spinach leaves. These 2 will not rot or mold. You want to keep mold away from your feeder insects, because you cannot feed an insect that has eaten mold. Your gecko will get very sick.
Hope my gut-load helps
