is there any accurate way to tell how old a chelonian is, or even estimate? i have 2 wc forest hingebacks and a wc ca wood turtle and i was just curious how old they might be. i've heard that counting the rings on their scutes is not terribly accurate and also i'm not sure how to do it...do i count the grooves or the groove and the parts between them separately?
