please help me with advice

Over the past week, my female dragon has been acting a little sluggish. She was in brumation for awhile, but that ended about a month ago. I took her out today and gave her a bath. I noticed that she had a build up of what looked like a mix of urate and sand around her anal pore. I removed it and now she has a tiny bit of red flesh protruding. I'm not sure what has happened, but she remains at a vey healthy weight and she is alert and eating. I'm hoping that she defecates soon so I can be a little relieved. I would appreciate some thoughts and advice, thanks.

i would just continue to soak her in warm water for about 15-20 minutes a day and rub her belly, that should make her poop.

I'm not sure exactly what caused it, but if she's getting sand stuck there you should take her off the sand and put her on paper towels for a while until this blows over. Sand stuck in the vent area can be very irritating and may prevent healing.

Keep giving her soaks. If she still has any flesh protruding from the vent, you might want to put a little vaseline on it and get her to a vet.

Take her to the Vet Asap. Sounds like she has a prolapse. This can get very bad and needs to be attended to by a Herp specific vet.
Good luck!!!

I agree Randy. You can soak her in a warm bath with lots of sugar in it. Dissolve as much sugar as you can into the water. It may go back in with that but if not, place her on wet paper towels until you get her to the vet. It could be from a bacterial infection so you will want to get a fecal with a gram stain too. If it reoccurs the vet will want to sucher the vent closed for a couple of days to hold it in.

does it look anything like this prolapse?

well, no, the protrusion is hardly that noticable, plus it seems to be a little pink in color. She took a poop today and is acting as happy as ever, I'll keep bathing her and giving updates.

many times they will not act any different. I had a 2 week old baby with a major prolapse that included what looked like intestines coming out of the vent. there was blood and a big mess and yet the animal seemed to be in no pain and ran around like nothing was wrong. Saddly it did not live long enough to treat. Animals pain receptors are different than peoples.
