adf question

aloren26 May 29, 2005 02:26 PM

I have 2 adf frogs, one confirmed a male, not sure about the other. All day long, the male has seemed to be 'hugging' the other one. I don't think the other one likes this, it keeps trying to wiggle free but he won't let her. It's been going on all day...they go to the top, then to the bottom. They float around the tank like this and sometimes lay upside down on the bottom of the tank still connected. Should I seperate them? Is he hurting the other adf? Any advice would be appreciated

Something else...he seems to be squeezing the only one so tight that it is twitching, how come he wont let go?

it sounds to me that they are mating.i dont think the male is hurting her.sometimes if you give food to them right in front of them they will break up.dont even try to hatch the eggs they so small and are extreamly hard to care for.but if you are concernd just touch them gently.
