leopard gecko color changing?

I just bought a Super hpyo Tangerine Carrotail from someone in Kansas. It was really bright two weeks ago but now it has tured really dark and its head is almost black. Does this happen because of the climate change because i live in CA. please give some advice.

Check your temps, sometimes they can stress and that can happen if you are keeping it either too hot or too cold.
