Well, I have been working on it off and on for months, but the wall in my bedroom is finally done.

Beautiful work on the cages! Can you possibly post instructions on how you made them? I'd love to try to make a few for mine.
Leslie
Leslie,
The cages are made out of window screen mill (that is the metal that the screen frame is made out of, it can be found with the windows at home depot). I picked a size of plexiglass that I wanted and made the framing to fit it. Get a bunch of mill, cut it to size, attach the pieces with screen frame corners and then spline the screen into the mill frame. Predrill holes in the mill and screw the sides together. I used silicon sealant to attach and waterproof the plexi back, bottom and rim around the sides and front. The door was just made the same as any of the sides and I predrilled the hinges and latch holes.
Mill is pretty easy to work with. I can whip one of those cages out in about 2 hours plus silicon drying time. Only tools you really need are a splining tool, plexi cutter, drill and jigsaw. Best of all they are superlight weight and easy to clean. I can easily pick any of them up with one hand.
If you need more info just let me know,

Thanks! I think I understand. Really great work!

Looks very nice. I have a setup very much like yours for my cresties. I use cages like the ones on the top shelf. Nice work.

Awesome cages and setup!!!!
If you don't mind, what is the dimensions of your breeder and bachelor cages? Space is at a premium at my house, and I love the way yours is set up. I have 3 cresties now, but hope to have more, hehehe.
Linda

The cages on the top shelf are 19 long, 13 wide and 16 high.
The ones on the bottom are 13 inch cubes.
I tend to put lots of foliage, climbing structures and hide spaces in my cages which increases the area that is usable by the animal. This allows me to go with slightly smaller cages and still have them be comfortable, as space is at a premium for me as well. I think most Cresties would rather have a smaller cage with lots of climbing space and usable room than a really large cage without too much in it.
