How to culture snails?

Mad_1234 May 29, 2005 09:30 PM

Does anybody know anything about how to culture snails? I have a ton around my house and already a colony of over a hundred collected but would like to learn how to propogate them myself.

If you've collected that many, house them together in high density and high humidity and you won't have a problem with them proprogating... Trust me, you'll have snails coming out of your ears in no time...

use a light substrate as they will lay eggs in the soil... I use coco bedding...

yea, i put a couple of snails (not nearly as many as you have) in a tank a while ago, and within a month or two there were tiny lil snails moving about. still there too. just put em together and give em time.
