Is 78g too small for female to breed?

louie1 May 29, 2005 10:31 PM

She is two years old or very close to it. I planned to wait till she was heavier but was just curious if anyone has succesfully bred them this small?

sucessfully, maybe around 150g, but u risk a lot of physical problems and serious injury to your snake. Id get her to at least 200g. Females can get a lot heavier than 200g, i have a female that is now 340g and getting heavier. Definately try to feed your hog more often, try twice a week. If she will eat twice a week no problem, id try larger meals per meal, but feeding more or larger is up to you. If she gets too fat, slow down, but if she just grows into a beast, then she is eating well. I'd say if her body is smaller than her head, she can eat more, if the head is much smaller girth than the body, then feed a little less. These are very general guidelines, but really easy to follow.
