I havea plastic vine I bought for my anole a long time ago. I put it in my garter enclosure and seems to love it.

Where are garters commonly found in the wild? Mine lovs to climb. He's a checkard garter.

I useto find him in betweeb the lip of the aquarium and the lid. He might not do that as much now thanks to the vine.

Garters are not normally tree dwellig snakes. But I have a flame garter that loves to sit up in his tree for hours. And I have seen sevral eastern garters about 3 or 4 feet high coiled in very thick bushes out in the wild.

I have a few garters that are 'climbers' too. I've never found or seen any that haven't been on the ground, but I've got a red-sided and three young plains who couldn't be happier climbing all over their plants and squeezing into the lip of their aquariums. Fun to watch!
