Question about pastels het. Xanthic

Kingofspades May 30, 2005 02:01 AM

Ok, as far as I know (I am still learning everything by reading these forums daily. You guys rock!), Xanthic takes the yellow out of a BP.
Now I see Pastels het. Xanthic for sale...

When two of those are bred together...
What is going to happen?
I mean, Pastels are very yellow, but Xanthic kills yellow...

Will the snakes explode?(j/k)

I am intrigued to see what will come of this...

Xanthic = Hyper Yellow or more yellow
Axanthic = no yellow

I have not seen any Pastel Het-xanthic for sale but there are a few Pastel Het-Axanthic.

NERD did produce an axanthic pastel, do a search on this forum....

There are some for sale that someone posted in the forum recently from the VPI line of axanthics. These were just het axanthic pastels, but they looked pretty incredible. Very white with just the slightest hint of yellow, lots of contrast. I think the heading for the thread was "the importance of supers"

I think even hets when mixed with pastels seem to show some of their axanthic trait. Visual hets, sounds good to me.
