Skin Lesions...Update

caraae May 30, 2005 09:23 AM

Just wanted to let the person I was chatting with that the second frog is doing great and I changed him from paper towels to fresh peat moss today. Things are looking good! Is it ok if the peat moss gets the frog a little dirty? Thanks!

Hey that's great news! Sorry about the other frog, though. Your substrate sounds fine as long as the only ingredients in it are sphagnum moss and peat moss. It must be all organic. No vermiculite or perlite, etc. As long as it's all organic, its fine if the frog is dirty. I would recommend feeding either in a seperate container or placing a small bowl with the crickets in it into the cage to prevent any impaction. I just had a pacman die today of impaction. It was horrible, you dont want to deal with that. Anyway, keep up the good work.
