Ha ha ha, he will be! I stopped by the KS chat last night and the other mods said you kiss your animals and let them sleep by you at night. I'm glad he's going to a good home (might wanna brush your teeth an extra time though if you're kissing too much).

Got me pegged, heheheeh ! I kiss my lizards heads, I have to admit, I never have gotten lizard diseases yet ! LOL

They are just so pretty, I can't help it. I like to interact, and there room is just that, so its set up where they can come out to play each day and some free roam.

I have NOT taken them to bed yet, Hubby would disapprove.

But I don't know this BIG beautiful guy your sending may get to take a few Naps with me, hehehehehe !

Heres some of my free roamers, and a couple of chuckwallas out for their daily run, they all stopped at the basking corner to RECHARGE at the same time.

They are all friends, who I have had for a long time.

Hershey the desert iggy, Chewalla and Grebster the chucks, and KONG and Chippewa , collareds.

Eve, that is so cool that they all hang together! Now here is a practical/logistical question...what about poop when free roaming??? I am letting Darwin out a lot, but always near me and always after there is little chance of poop! He does it 2x/day so I think I am safe, tho' sooner or later it will happer. Do you just follow your nose?? lol!

The poop , the 3 that free roam, the desert iguana and the 2 collareds, theirs is more like when a bird goes, not that much and it firms and gets whitish and pellety kinda of quick.

Also they tend to go while basking, alot. And thats a big pile of slate which washes up nice.

The chuckwallas, I'm usually there when they are out and you KNOW immediately when they go, LOL

It's like my large female egyptian uromastyx, my goodness when she goes, its as if a small dog went, what a BIG mess ! So I get that as soon as I know of it, ehehhehehe.

My adult dragon also did quite a mess, not bad when they are little like Darwin.

Anyway I vacumm and wipe the floor with Virosan every day. The floor covering is linolium, so makes it easy.

I keep a gallon of that(virosan) on hand always. I have to keep the reptile room as CLEAN as possible, it was a spare bedroom and is next to ours, my hubby would FREAK if it stunk.

He SMELLS everything, drives me nuts with his NOSE

My Chameleons are down stairs in our dining room, LOL Its cooler for them.

Thanks, Eve!
I am a little worried about Darwin's poop when he is 2x the size he is now! lol! Stinky stuff! Seems very stinky after he eats a lot of dandelion leaves ;-/ and very gooshy after silkworms. I have wood floors, but it's an old (275 years!) house with lots of spaces b/t the floor boards and the stink could get caught. I'll have to put some thought into this, but as you said, they seem to poop while basking or bathing. It's the one time its OK to "go" in the pool! lol!!

Well, I suppose once I begin to let him wander a bit more I will set up an out of cage basking site. I like that idea and obviously had not thought of it, as I never keep him out too long so he doesn't get cold (still quite chilly here in NH!)

I am getting his big 75 gallon tank this weekend (won on ebay!) and look forward to setting it up!
