I've had her for about a year now too! LOL, thats funny stuff 
Anyways, I am gonna rename her. Rebel isn't a good girl name. I think I'll go with a greek goddess name. Not sure whom though...

I agree, Rebel doesn't fit a girl - well it fit me in my youth, but...oh, never mind 
How did you find out she was a girl? Lay eggs? That is really funny that you didn't know. But it's weird, once you think an animal is a certain gender it just sort of fits and you get stuck. I had a boy rabbit named Suzy and a girl cat named Rochester!
As for names...have you ever seen this site??? Have fun!
