LadySharon.......more on fish

hbluedevilh Jul 12, 2003 11:49 PM

Hey I read the posts u made earlier about the fish. Trout and Salmon can be found at the grocery store. Usually you will find them in fillets which is much better and easier to cut. The snakes will take it readily if you wriggle it and sometimes they will take it if you leave it in a bowl. The babies will take it readily out of a small dish.

Vitamins/Minerals: I use Herptivite Multivitamins and Rep-Cal. They usually run for 5-7 dependant on store. I sprinkle both on the end of the food leaving the other end so the snakes will smell it and eat it.

Hope this helps,

Lu

Heya... where in the world do you find trout that is NOT the whole bloody fish!? I've gone to safeway and costco and they don't have the filets... just the whole fish which I guess I'd have to "clean" and filet myself which I don't know ... nor do I want to do!

I do see the salmon though you have to buy "fresh" otherwise it has color in it. (most of the salmon you see for sale has red dye in it.)

PS. I'm in colorado... we have albertson's, kingsoopers, cub food, safeway, costco, sams club (which I can't go to.) and sometimes the large k-marts or targets will sell food.
