My neighbor found this guy, we live in Lancaster, PA. I stink at identifying snakes. What is this?

Oh, he sure was. He flattenned his head so much, and it was so triangular that I could have stuck him in a tree like a dagger. He didn't like being captured, we only kept him for about 15 min and then let him go again.
