Happysurgeman,
...It is a Colombian Rainbow Boa, Epicrates cenchria maurus. These are fairly common snakes that range from Costa Rica down through all of Panama and most of Colombia and over across much of Venezuela. They typically grow to 5 to 5.5 feet long. Really big ones occasionally reach 6 feet. Your snake has a little more pattern than is typical for one that size. They are born with a strong pattern which gradually fades as they age. The series of twin spots along the back is different than typical for the subspecies but the twin spots do often occur in this subspecies and a couple of other subspecies of Rainbow Boas. Dishonest dealers fairly often bill these snakes as Anaconda Rainbow crosses because of the thick muscular body and those spots.
