I cannot say our third trip out West this time was a success. We did however, have a great time seeing old as well as new herpers. The lunches at Crosby's were fun and good times were shared by all. Me, Kim, Caleb, Weston and Meridith all went to Del Rio and made camp at Motel 6. We arrived Friday night at 1:00 a.m. The rains began immediately when we pulled in and the temps dropped fast to 68 degrees. We did not herp this night. We did find that our good friend Dave Doherty caught an adult alterna on 277 that is absolutely stunning!!! He caught this beauty about 1.5 miles South of Loma Alta as the storm hit at 1:20 a.m. I will let him post the picture if he chooses. PLEASE DO Dave!!! Share with us all. Congratulations to him as well as his dad who accompanied him. Great job Davus! Also congrats to Nathan Wells and friend who caught a stunning Blairs phase on Juno road IN THE RAIN Saturday night. Please post it Nathan and congrats dude! It looks like it was an all Woodlands kind of weekend. We saw no live snakes whatsoever. I am sharing the only snake we did find. I understand this baby has been going around the cuts for 2 years now. The latest sighting was at Red Bluff. Hopefully I will be back next weekend. Good luck to Coach who is out with wife Maureen. I know you guys will catch a few! Enjoy the following pics!
