beardie ?

last weekend when i went fishing i caught a lizard that looks like a bearded dragon but i live in north carolina so i was wondering could it be a bearded dragon? my dad said it is some kind of anole but it looks just like a baby bearded dragon except it is skinnier then ones you see in pics online and not as many spikes. its about 6 in. long if that helps. thanks.

That is definately not a beardie. Bearded dragons are native to Australia and if it doesn't have a lot of spikes is probably not a bearded dragon. If you take a picture and post it and a description on "What kind of lizard" forum and someone there might be able to tell you what kind of lizard it is.

they are native to NC along with some others, but this is the only one that resembles a bd (which is native to Australia )
