cage sizes

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the tank size that would best suit an adult bearded dragon. I was thinking of building a tank that would be about 2 feet long, 2 feet wide and 18 inches high. Is that a reasonable size or should i go for something longer. I wanna make the best suitable home.

Thanks for any advice,

Greg

Lets try something around 5-8 feet long and 2 feet wide and 1 1/2 ft. tall... Beardies love to run around and need alot of floor space. They also like a bit of climbing so make a spot for 'em to climb up closer to the light.

5-8 foot is ideal, but average is 4 feet by 2 feet by 18 inches.

I make most of mine outta screen and 2X2's, works pretty darn well!

I don't get to this forum very often ...

Anyway For my one beardie I have a DIY screen/wood tank that is 4'x2'x4' (LxWxH) and I would have built it bigger if I had more room. They will use all the space, mine really likes to climb up on his log in the morning and run around on the sand after he gets warmed up. Something you wont see in a teeny weenie tank .
