how to identify toad??

ktmartin May 31, 2005 09:34 PM

my daughter found a small toad at my wife's father's house, (in Ohio). i dont know anything about toads, i am a bearded dragon breeder/snake person, but it is cute and she really likes it. so i was gonna let her keep it but i dont know how to take care of it. it is about the size of a .50c piece, kinda olive green with brown warts on its back. it has not made any noises in the 2 days it has been here. i have it in a 5 gallon aquarium with some leaves, gravel, hide box, and a small water dish. i dont have and heat or lights on it and i fed it two small crickets with calci-dust on them. it pees whenever my daughter picks it up so i told her to stop for a while cause i didnt want to stress it to death. any tips or sites with identifing pics and stuff would be greatly appreciated. soorrryy soooo looonnggg!!
