Are tree frogs cannibalistic?

wombat Jun 01, 2005 09:18 AM

Hey all- here is a pic of a couple of grey tree frogs I have caught lately, I want to put 2-3 in a 10 gal, but these are very different sizes- will the big one try to eat the little one (or vice versa, LOL)?

These guys are piggy- I'm having to cut back their cricket quota after just a few weeks...

Thanks!

they can be bu only if there is a big frog and the other frog is much smaller.in your case i would put them in seperate cages till the little one getts bigger.SWEET FROGS THO

IF IT FITS, IT'S FOOD... Yes your big frog can and probably will eat the smaller frog... May not, but why take the chance?? The little guy is about size of large bug..and it will fit nicely in the mouth of big frog....separate them, and put together AFTER the little guy grows up a bit.

I thought as much, I'll continue to keep them apart...

The bigger one has been growing very fast with an abundant diet, so hopefully the little one will too...
