HELP!!! My male frilled dragon is sick!!

manicdvln Jun 01, 2005 02:26 PM

The symptoms I observed are as follows:

-Lethargic
-No apetite
-Liquid coming out his nose (clear like water)
-Coughing out liquid (clear like water)
-Very thin

Anyone know what could be the problem??

His been like this for months now. But still does his mating dance to the female whenever she is close.

I would have taken it to a vet months ago, if it's been doing this for months. I would also separate them, if you're keeping them together, asap. Could be a resp. infection. Anyhow, I'd say it needs some medical attention from a herp vet.

What are your temps?

manicdvln Jun 06, 2005 01:48 PM

I don't think the temperature is the problem since my female frilled is fine.

For taking my frills to a doctor, I called 4 places all of them are far far away from where I live, so accessibility is non-existant.

I have no idea what I have to do.

It sounds like it's probably respiratory if there is liquid coming out his nose/mouth. You need to have it looked at and get the proper prescription to treat it. Just because the female is ok, doesn't mean your temps are correct. Hot spot should be about 110°F... cool side should be in the upper 80's. Get to a vet ASAP & good luck.
