Questions on bringing home a new Cham.

lola44 Jun 01, 2005 02:40 PM

Hi all,, i've been lurking in the background for a while (started some time last year) and i think i'm ready to finally get my first chameleon. I've ordered almost all my supplies and i'm waiting patiently for them to arrive. So, here's the question: I'm planning on attending the reptile expo in Toronto with hopes of acquiring my cham there. What is the best way to transport him home? Its a 2.5 - 3 hr drive for me and do you think it would be ok to bring his cage and then maybe cover it with a towel so he doens't get to see the outside world too much and get stressed or leave him the container that i get him in or what do you recommend? thanks for any info,,,, Lo

Try a well-ventilated plastic shoebox. The problem with bringing a cage is that it will not shield him from any drafts. Good luck with your purchase!
