Question about egg hatching time

crotaphytusman Jun 01, 2005 03:36 PM

I have had my eggs in my incubator now for 58 days and still no sign of hatching (sweating, dimpling, etc) friday will be 60 days. I have noticed that about 4-5 days ago they have developed very little faint dark spots on the egg, I don't know if it's mold or a head starting to pop out but I can see them. I keep them at about 82f - 85f. If anyone knows how often they go over 60 days let me know? They are C. Collaris eggs. Three out of the first seven still look good. Any more info would be great. Thanks for the help! I am trying my hardest to be patient.

the little black spots are sometimes you seeing their back through the egg, that has thinned down while caving in, its kind of wet and see through right?

Hope all goes well, just keep hanging in there.

I have a bunch ready anytime now also , they are starting to look stained , I'm almost at 50 days .

Mine still look white and egg like but like I said I can see a very very faint dark spot on a few of the eggs. One got a spot of water on it about a month ago and that spot has a lot of black spotting but it may just be mold or something from it getting wet. It didn't get too wet but as I was adding some water some did get on one egg, very little though. I hope it's ok. The shape of the egg is still looking good just that one spot. The other two look great still.
