Maybe you should consider getting a roach colony to feed your guy. We were spending about that much also before we decided to go with lobster roaches. Now we have plenty of feeders, they reproduce so quickly we haven't bought crickets in ages. You just feed out the juv. roaches and leave the winged adults to reproduce. Then all you have to buy is fresh greens.

Wow, but my parents, mainly my mom, would NEVER go for that. Thanks though I buy silkies like crazy. I love 'em, they are quiet and easy to care for compared to crickets... AND my BEARDIE LOVES THEM!!! Anyways, I went to buy some silkies today, 15 for 3 dollars, and I was talking to the worker about my beardie. He showed me the beardeds they had @ Karla's Kritters and said he had a stud male that we could breed with my girl... How old or what is the size/weight for breeding...

If you are concerned with the cost of feeding one dragon, imagine feeding anywhere from 60-100 hatchlings. A female can lay multiple egg clutches from one breeding.
