Circle Backs (I know...they are normals...)

Now before everyone jumps down my throat for posting about normals...hear me out first! I got a pair of baby circle backs 2 weeks ago. I bought them because they were gorgeous, I thought their markings were really neat, but I was just going to sell the male once he was a bit bigger, as I have a pastel male so I dont need normal males. Would it be worth it to keep the male and see if its genetic? I wanted to breed her with my pastel male to see if I could get circle back pastels (which I think would be gorgeous!). I need some input from you guys. I dont have any pics, but the female has perfect circles down her entire back, and the male has them on about 2/3 of his back. Thanks in advance for any input/advice!
