I'm graduating - and won't be here too often for a week

lele Jun 01, 2005 06:43 PM

OK, you will all get a lele break! My mom is coming tomorrow for a week to attend my graduation ceremony on Sunday (classes ended in. Of course I'll check in a bit but won't be quite as available. I know you will all suffer without me and Luna (especially you Luna-tics!) but you will survive (is that clapping I hear? You mean you're HAPPY to be rid of me??? sniff sniff

In my absence, I have put Master Michael (aka: themastersmew) in my place, so let me know if he is messing up!

Anyone else graduating this month? I'll bet you I'm the oldest!! (50!)

later,
lele

I would think that in a situation like this the hand clapping
would be to congratulate you for graduating...so change those
sniffs into tears of joy! Congrats! Well done!

(Ummm...just out of curiosity what did you graduate from??)

lele Jun 01, 2005 09:42 PM

thanks! 6 1/2 years for 2 degrees. One in Horticulture (2002) and the current one in Nature Literacy (basically covers all aspects of understanding the natural world (terra firma ) and interpreting it to teach others, with a focus on pants, wildlife habitat, and of course, insects

Sounds like an interesting combination of degrees and a lot of
work!

That sure is an inspiration to many what you have acommplished and at the tender age of 50. I truely feel this is the best time to learn.

I know I have learned more in my 30's and 40's than at any age, and have ENJOYED learning so much more.

A big CONGRATULATIONS lele, and may you have many many more years to do whatever you wish to do.

Enjoy your day, seems you have earned it!
