noob question

iloveballs Jun 01, 2005 07:21 PM

hi. i have had my ball for about 3 days now and i was told not too handle him and let him get used to his new home. is it a bad idea to put a different hide spot in there than the one i have now?? or should i wait and change it later? right now i am using a small tissue box with a hole cut in it that he seems to love i tried putting a half log in there but he would not go in it. should i just stick with the box?

it is not that big of a deal to change but if he likes what you are using now stick with it. im sure if you took the tissue box out and put in the log that he would start using the log.

i just think he likes the box because it is darker and is a better hide spot but i think the log is a little tighter for him so i dont know haha

now if you would go out and get a small ceramic potting tray and clip out a notch for him to get into he would have a dark and tight hide !!! he may even smile then !

The tighter and darker the hide, the better a Ball Python likes it....
