are cave crickets ok to feed to leopard geckos?
You're better off not feeding your animals wild worms and insects, not knowing "where they've been". Cave crickets are found in piles of stones, bricks, rotten wood, basements, etc., in residential areas. So, chances are that someone has sprayed them to get rid of the noise and nuisance.
If you can raise some yourself in a supervised environment, you're better off. Get a few, see if they'll breed for you. But house crickets are most commonly raised as feeders because cave crickets do not reproduce well indoors, unless you give them adequate, cool darkness and moisture.
The challenge is there, the nutrition is comparable, but the hassles are magnified.
