they'd probably be fine in a shoe box. just don't leave them in the car with the windows up. they'll probably just sleep for the whole trip. if they poop, clean up the poop. otherwise its pretty easy to travel with a BD....in comparison to a cat.

Yeah, Beardies are easy to travel with. I kept mine in a small plastic shoebox sized plastic tub with tons of air holes. I took her with me to eat and everything, I just had to hide her in the resteraunt. Anyways, my dog is 50X harder to take on vaction than my beardie!

If you have a heating pad that doesn't have the auto shut off feature, and a power converter for your car's cigarette lighter, you can keep him heated. That's what we do when transporting a sick beardie to the vet, sometimes over an hour away. But then again we're in Oregon - it's always cold here! LOL We use a medium sized cooler and leave the top cracked open for fresh air. With the heating pad at the bottom of the cooler on low and a towel over it, it will keep a beardie very comfortable. Just don't let it get too hot. If you keep your car fairly warm, then I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure it will be plenty warm when you start to get close to FL. Good luck with the move!

Hugs,
Veronica
