A few more questions

Hi Again,

My recent bought dragon is about 16" long with his tail. I am unsure of his age though. The people at the pet store said that I do not need to feed him crickets every day but I am begining to doubt this. Another person said 6-10 crickets daily and a handful of greens. I am really not sure. Any advice would be appreciated. And also I bought a product by T-Rex called Dragon Dust that it says is formulated to be used every feeding with the crickets. Any one ever heard of this?

I suspect the dragon is not yet full grown and can gain a few more inches depending on it's genetics. I would guess he's about 6-8 months old. I would still feed him crickets once a day and a bowl of mixed greens once a day. Dust the crickets every other day with calcium with D3 and a multivitamine. Also, do a search on bearded dragon caresheets for other general care information.

I feed my beardies five crickets in the morning dusted with dragon dust, veggies in the afternoon and five more crickets in the evening if they eat their veggies. The dragon dust is supposed to be used on the veggies not on the crickets but getting your beardie to eat dusted veggies is easier said than done since I've tried it. I feed my beardies veggies according to how much they'll actually eat so that part is trial and error but thats how I feed my beardies everyday. I've been told that I spoil my beardies but the way I see it is that if my pets are happy then so am I.
