I am expecting many of my black rats to drop eggs soon. The general timeline is 7-10 days after shed, eggs are to be expected. What is the longest time you have had to wait for eggs to be dropped AFTER the pre-egg lay shed? I have a female up to 16 days now. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't know many about Black rats. But I know that Elaphe Dione have much more time between pre-egg shed and clutching. So that is not the "normal" time (6-11 days) but much longer. Don't worry, soon you will get eggs!
